In-State (Oklahoma) Fees: $850.00 per  day

Expenses: In the OKC metro area, there are no expenses. Outside the metro area, expenses may include 45  cents per mile, toll fees, meals, and hotel. 

Discounts are given for long-term engagements.

1. Darleen will speak in your school during the day PLUS do an evening session, such as a Family Reading Night or Title One program. $1,000.00, and travel expenses.
2. ½ day in a school within the Oklahoma City Metro area, $500.00, no expenses.   This is for two sessions, plus autographing.  Only available for local schools in the morning.
3. Evening event only -- Please contact Darleen with the type of event you are planning and she will quote you a speaking fee. 

Out-of-State Fees: $1100.00 per day

Want Darleen Bailey Beard to visit, but your school can’t afford it? Try the Say Cheese Scholarship Program! One Say Cheese Scholarship will be awarded each semester, making a total of two scholarships per school year. 

To qualify for the Say Cheese Scholarship, send Darleen an email telling her WHY you want her to come to your school, what you’ll do to PROMOTE her visit in your school, and a FUN PHOTO showing your students or staff doing something fun and silly to promote her books or a photo of some creative artwork promoting her books. Put on your thinking cap--the more imaginative, the better!

Your school must not have had a published author visit within the last school year. Your school will be considered for these scholarships even if you have had visiting artists, storytellers, and/or illustrators.

Please note: By sending Darleen your photo(s), your school is giving her permission to put your photo(s) on her web site and other promotional materials such as brochures and flyers.

You will be notified by phone if your school is chosen to receive a Say Cheese Scholarship.  Winning photo(s) and emails will be posted on this website.
